Managing extension permissions

Help Article1 min read

Adjust which websites CalmSignal can analyse in your browser.

Why this matters

Extension permissions control where CalmSignal runs. If CalmSignal is not working on a site, or is running where you do not want it, this is the first place to check.

Change site access

Open the CalmSignal extension popup, then go to Settings → Privacy (or Site Permissions).

Use allow/block controls for domains and categories (for example email, docs, messaging) based on your preference.

Recommended setup

Allow only work and communication domains where you want support nudges.

Block banking, password, and sensitive internal systems if your policy requires stricter boundaries.

How to verify changes

Refresh the target tab after changing permissions.

Open extension status on that page and confirm it shows enabled or blocked as expected.

Troubleshooting

If settings do not apply, check browser-level site access permissions for the extension and confirm CalmSignal is allowed on that site.

If behavior differs in private/incognito mode, enable extension access for private windows explicitly.

Still blocked? Share browser name/version, affected domain, and extension settings screenshot with peace@calmsignal.app.
