Connecting a smartwatch
Overview
You only need one health source to start monitoring. Use the card that matches your device. Connecting extra sources is optional.
Apple Watch (iPhone)
Use Apple Watch with the CalmSignal Watch app, and allow Apple Health (HealthKit). Heart rate from Apple Watch goes through the watch app. Other companion-app watches on iPhone share through Apple Health.
Wear OS (Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch 4+, Fossil, and similar)
Install the CalmSignal watch app and tap Connect Wear OS in Health Monitoring. You do not need Health Connect for this path.
Watches that use their own phone app
Many Android watches sync through a companion app (for example Google Fit, Samsung Health, or the app that came with a Tecno or Infinix band). Connect Health Connect in CalmSignal, then turn on sharing to Health Connect in that companion app.
Chest or arm heart rate straps
Polar, Garmin HRM, Wahoo, and other straps that broadcast standard Bluetooth heart rate use Connect heart rate strap. This is not for watches that only talk to their own app.
Fitbit, Garmin, and Oura
Use the Fitbit, Garmin Connect, or Oura Ring card and sign in with that account. Those connections are separate from Health Connect and Wear OS.
How to confirm it is working
When at least one source shows Connected, tap Start Health Monitoring. Heart rate, steps, or sleep should appear after the device has written recent data.
Troubleshooting
If Health Connect asks you to update CalmSignal, install the latest app from Google Play, then try Connect again. If Wear OS is connected, skip Health Connect unless you also want data from another health app. Still blocked? Email peace@calmsignal.app with your phone model, watch or strap model, and a screenshot of Health Monitoring.
